The Bravery
The Bravery is an Alternative Rock band from U.S. This band was formed in 2003 and is playing even today. The current members of the band include John Conway on keyboard and backing vocals, Sam Endicott on vocals, and rhythm guitar, Michael Zakarin as lead guitarist, who often gives backing vocals as well, Mike Hindert on bass, and backing vocals along with Anthony Burulcich on drums.
The Bravery played their first live performance at the Stinger Club in Brooklyn in November, 2003. To encourage their shows, they invented 1,000 posters and three songs samplers holding the songs ”, “Public Service Announcement”, “No Brakes”, and “An Honest Mistake”
In November 2004, The Bravery changed their base location to Stoke Newington, London. The band visited the whole of UK, France and Holland. The three song EPs - Out Of Line, Unconditional and No Brakes were promoted heavily during their campaign. The Bravery performed on TV later with Jools Holland. The Bravery’s first single “An Honest Mistake” was released on February 28, 2005 in the UK.
In 2005, the singles “Fearless” and “Unconditional” were released. After couple of years, in 2007, the single “Time Won’t Let Me Go” and “Believe” was released by the club.
In June 2006, the band shifted to Atlanta, and worked with the producer Brendan O’Brien. The first studio album of the band got released in 2005. The second album of the band was “The Sun and the Moon” in 2007. “The Sun and The Moon Complete”, the remix album was released on January 2008. A two disc set attributing “The Sun” and “The Moon”. With the producer John Hill, and keyboardist John Conway, the band released “already taking shape”
The Beat
The Beat is a 1980’s band from U.S. It was formed in 1979. The Beat, is also known as The Paul Collins Beat or Paul Collin’s beat a group from Los Angeles. The Beat resurfaced in the 1990’s and continues to tour and record new material as Paul Collin’s Beat.
The LA power group pop scene was beginning to garner national attention and with the help Collin’s friend from The Nerves day in San Francisco, Eddie Money and his producer Bruce Botnick. Collin dealt with CBS and Bill Graham Management. CBS released their self title debut in October 1979.
The group appeared on Dick Clark’s American Bandstand on March 8, 1980 and contributed a song to the popular movie Caddyshack. The Beat found a little success with the popular artists Ian Gomm and The Jam. The Collins’ Beat was first to released their album in their home territory in turn forcing the British group to use the name “The English Beat” in the U.S. The second CBS LP, “The kids Are The Same” to be released two years later in 1982. After dropped from CBS the group self financed the production of 3 videos songs from the LP.
Major members of The Beat include Paul Collin, Dennis Conway, Protons guitarist Octavia Vick, future Television guitarist Jimmy Rip, the Alice Cooper drummer, bassist Steven Huff, Secret Affair drummer Paul Multitude, guitarist Patrick Collins, Patti Smith Group drummer Jay Dee Daugherty, Pins guitarist Larry Whitman as well as Milk n’ Cookies drummer Mike Ruiz.
